Funeral Rites for Mrs. Coake are Held Here
Passes Away Sunday at the Home of Her Daughter in Michigan
Death came to Mrs. Margaret Coake, 72 years of age, and a former resident of Rossville, at the home of her duaghter, Mrs. Hattie Bowlby, Sunday in Lansing, Mich., after a brief illness of complications.
After the death of her husband, Odum Coake, several years ago, she made her home with her children at different places and three years ago she went to Lansing to live with Mrs. Bowlby. She is survived by two sons and five daughters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the United Brethern Church in this city with Rev. John Leth, pastor of the Nazarene church officiating. Burial was in the Rossville cemetery. The body was brought here via ambulance from Lansing.
Mrs. Coake was well-known, in this city, having a host of friends who join in extending sympathies to the chilren. (22 Dec 1935)
